In December, 5 members of Survive and Save Club were the first in the country to be awarded the new RLSS Survive & Save Gold Medallion. The awards were presented by Anna Walters, the RLSS National Club and Volunteer Development Manager. Congratulations to Akash, Janak, Shravan, Devun and Nyal.
Survive and Save Club was named at the national ASA Swimtastic awards as
Swim School of the year held at Holiday Inn, Stratford upon Avon on Friday
16 October 2009.
We were praised for our ongoing commitment to developing
Black and Minority Ethnic swimming provision, our successful ASA Aquamark
Premier accreditation and for our ASA/UKCC training. Collecting the award on
behalf of the club were Ray Lau, Education & Development officer and
Sally Baldwin, Chairman.
Sally Baldwin, Harrow Sports Volunteer of the year 2009
Sally Baldwin, chair of Survive and Save Club was named as Harrow Sports
Volunteer of the year. She beat stiff competition to be crowned for her long
service and commitment to the club. Well done Sally!
