Training and Development

In conjunction with Survive and Save Training, we are in a unique position and only one of the small number of clubs in the country to hosting a swimming & lifesaving education training and development programmes leading to the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) / United Kingdom Coaching Certificate (UKCC), Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS UK), and Nuco Training First Aid certification.

Courses are run on a demand basis.

This programme is open to both club members and members of the public.

The training courses/seminars on offer include:

• ASA Helper certificate for Swimming
• ASA/UKCC Level 1 certificate for Teaching Aquatics
(this has replaced the Level 1 Swimming teaching)
• ASA/UKCC Level 2 certificate for Teaching Aquatics
(this has replaced the Level 2 Swimming teaching)
• ASA/UKCC Level 1 certificate for Coaching (Swimming)
• ASA/UKCC Level 2 certificate for Coaching (Swimming)

• RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
• RLSS National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches
• RLSS Assistant Teachers (Lifesaving);
• RLSS Trainer/Assessor (Lifesaving, Life Support & Pool Lifeguard)
• RLSS Rookie Lifeguard Trainer
• RLSS Rookie Lifeguard update seminars

• Nuco Training Ltd First Aid at Work Certificate – new & re-qualification
• Nuco Training Ltd Emergency First Aid in the Workplace for the
Appointed Persons Certificate (HSE recognised)

• Sports Coach UK Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop
• Sports Coach UK Equity in your coaching
• Sports Coach UK How to coach Disabled Swimmers
